Our leak has been repaired and water service has been restored. We were told that only a few of our members on Skyline Ridge Lookout experienced an outage, but now that repairs are completed all customers should have their water service restored. Sometimes after a repair, some customers may see small air bubbles in their water owing to air entering the water lines, but the water is safe to drink, and air bubbles should clear up if water is allowed to stand after dispensing it, and bubbles should cease to appear after air is cleared from the lines. To summarize, the leak has been repaired and service fully restored. Thank you for your patience.
Best, Skyline Ranch Estates WSC Board.

Good morning,
A repair to the water line of one of the homes in our neighborhood was made this morning by PGMS. This may cause a brief, temporary interruption in water service. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.
We are being asked to conserve water at this time, by the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District. Our goal is to achive a 20% curtailment of the use of water. Our neighborhood follows the steps below from our Drought Contigency Plan to achieve this goal. Please note the restrictions on outdoor watering and other suggestions. Also note that customers with water consumption in excess of 15,000 gallons may be subject to installation of flow restrictors, per our water tariff.
Goal: Achieve a 20 percent reduction in total water use. SREWSC Management Measures: Flushing of water mains shall be minimized. Customers with consumption in excess of 15,000 gallons per month may be subject to installation of flow restrictors. Water Use Restrictions:
Indoor Conservation Measures Check for toilet and faucet leaks and repair any found leaks immediately. Use water displacement device in toilet tank or replace older model toilets with HET models when possible. Install aerators on faucets. Don’t leave faucets running when not in use. While waiting for hot water to reach faucet, catch cold water in a container to be reused. Never use the toilet to dispose of trash. Only run dishwasher with full load. Store drinking water in a container in the refrigerator. Reduce use of garbage disposal. Wash only full loads of laundry. Turn off master water shutoff when out of town or on vacation. Draw less water for bath or reduce shower time. Do not over water houseplants. Outdoor Conservation Measures Irrigation and Lawn Care o Irrigation of landscaped areas shall be limited to designated watering days between the hours of 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and shall be by means of hand-held hoses equipped with positive shutoff, hand-held buckets, drip irrigation, and soakers hoses only. The use of hose-end sprinklers or permanently installed automatic sprinkler systems is prohibited at all times. o Use of soaker hoses for foundation protection shall be limited to designated water days and times. o Cut lawns on highest setting and leave lawn clippings on lawn instead of bagging. If possible, use a commercial car wash that recycles water. Pools and other water features o Use of water to fill or refill drained pools is prohibited. Topping off of existing pools for essential maintenance purposes is permitted only during designated watering days between the hours of 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., and between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Keep pools covered when not in use. o Use of water to fill, refill, or add to any wading pools or Jacuzzi-type pools is prohibited except on designated watering days between the hours of 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. o Operation of any ornamental fountain or pond for aesthetic or scenic purposes is prohibited except where necessary to support aquatic life or where such fountains or ponds are equipped with a recirculation system.

We will be in touch if we are advised to proceed any differently, but as of now-water pressure is normal. MESSAGE FROM SREWSC 2.2.22
Hello,
This is a reminder that we are expecting freezing temperatures and possible icy precipitation, beginning Wednesday night, 2.2.22 continuing through to possibly Sunday. Although the duration of the storm is not expected to be as severe as it was in February 2021, icy precipitation is expected. As you are probably aware, the hills can become impassible if precipitation does occur.
Preparations for below freezing temperatures are in order. People, pets and pipes are three areas to focus on. Skyline Ranch Estates is a wonderful place to live and neighbors should check on those around them. Those members, not full time in Wimberley, are encouraged to prepare their house or notify a full time neighbor to avoid damage. Regarding pipes, closing the valve at the meter will shut off water to the house, possibly saving pipes from breaking. Reviewing and covering all exposed pipes or faucets outside are additional items to consider. Also, dripping a pipe for any interior plumbing located on exterior walls and leaving cabinets open, so air can circulate underneath cabinets, may be of help. Bringing in all sensitive plants and all pets is recommended. Thanks and stay warm!

We are recommending a WATER BOIL NOTICE for the clients of the SREWSC
Low pressure caused by ERCOT rolling blackout protocols and PEC compliance to those protocols have caused the water pressure, at times, to be reduced to below 20 PSI. Our generator has proven invaluable, although at times temperamental. So even though the time that our well has dipped below the recommended pressure was minimal, in an abundance of caution, SREWSC is announcing a WATER BOIL NOTICE.
We initiated water testing this morning for sampling to put the system back completely on line. However, we do not know how much time this will take.
SREWSC and PGMS continue to monitor the well and the pressure. In addition we continue to monitor PEC announcements as well as road conditions, all of which have impacted service.
The goal is to get things back to normal as soon, and as safely as possible.
Thanks
SREWSC Board
